FOBIQS are seeking EOI’s from people who are keen to assist our management committee in the role of Treasurer.

FOBIQS primarily works with Parks & Wildlife Service Tasmania staff to develop the interpretation of the historic Quarantine Station site and improve the natural habitat through management of introduced weeds.

FOBIQS is made up of a core of committed committee members who are supported by a wider group of volunteer workers.

The group has about four different and fluctuating income streams including grants and donations. Our aim is to wisely spend every dollar we are given.

Our current Treasurer has served for 13 years and will be available to mentor our new Treasurer.

  • The primary tasks of our Treasurer will be:
  • To monitor income and expenditure
  • To liaise with Wildcare Tasmania and the National Trust of Tasmania who provide bookkeeping and other services to FOBIQS
  • To advise the committee on financial matters
  • To prepare annual financial information

FOBIQS seeks a person who has good communication skills, an interest in the Station, understands financial matters, GST and reporting, and has on average
about two hour per week to volunteer.

The AGM of FOBIQS to elect office bearers will be held on 4 September at 7pm – join via this link. If you’d like to attend in person (Hobart/Kingborough area) please contact:
