WE ARE GOING TO THE LANDCARE CONFERENCE!
This year’s Landcare conference is being held over the weekend on 13 -15 October at the Spring Bay Mill Triabunna (a venue well worth visiting) and the Friends of Maria Island are joining Wildcare Tasmania and Tas. Parks & Wildlife Service in hosting a field trip to the island!
There is a fabulous line-up of speakers and workshops on the Saturday and the field trip to Maria Island is one of three being held on the Sunday. Please join us and learn about:
- What makes Maria Island special – its history and conservation values.
- The work of the Friends of Maria – both the impact of this work in protecting the biodiversity of Maria Island and the long term commitment and consistent effort that has gone into achieving it.
There is the opportunity to attend the whole weekend or the option of just coming for either the Saturday conference session or the Sunday networking breakfast and field trips.
And by the way, if you know anyone who should be nominated for a Tasmanian Landcare Award, then nominations are still open and can be made here.
