Get Outside Goes to the Tasman
The Get Outside Program recently joined another Wildcare Group to check out the Tasmanian Wildlife Fair and explore the Tasman Peninsular It was a great opportunity for Get Outside participants to see what other Wildcare groups are doing around the state – and show them a pathway for them for further volunteering in the future. On the way to the Wildlife Fair we explored the Tasman Arch and Devils Kitchen and on the way home we investigated the Tessellated pavement. Forty two people from many different countries had a great day out and we got to learn all about Tasmanian Devils, bandicoots and shore birds and some of us got to touch a snake for the first time. Whilst birds and beasts were very popular, learning about fire safety and generally the Tasmanian bush were also on the menu.
