Preparing for work
Farewell
We undertook all work with their consent of course and under the watchful eye of Bev and John O’Brien, the resident mangers. Sadly Bev and John are leaving the island, to explore other adventures on the mainland. We will certainly miss them as they were both amazing people with a great passion for the island. They were resident on the island for 9 years.

Some details on the working bee
Volunteers: 10 plus Bev and John (mangers)
Transport on and off the island: 3 aircraft
Accommodation: Homestead and Cottage
Weather: Mostly fine
Work undertaken: The majority of work carried out was in track clearing using chain saws, brush-cutters and hand tools. The tracks cleared were to the main airfield, old Lighthouse and Eleanor’s Bay.
