Charlie and Capt’N Fitz’s Trek into the Rainforest

Back in 2016, a group of students from Carleton College in Northfield Minnesota visited Tasmania on a geology study tour. They were enthralled by our Giant Freshwater Lobster ‘astacopsis goudli’ and after a trek into the forest to see these amazing creatures in their native habitat, the idea of this book was born!

This children’s story will teach you about the Freshwater Lobster and what you can do to help preserve them and their natural environment.

The book has been dedicated to the founders of the Lobster Ponds Haven – Don Bramich and his wife Margaret.

Purchase of this product contributes to efforts of the Friends of the Freshwater Lobster volunteers to help save the endangered Tasmanian freshwater lobster and their habitat.
