Do you want to learn about whale rescue?
Tasmania is a hotspot for mass whale strandings with over 80% of Australia’s whale strandings occurring here.
WILDCARE Inc. and Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service are conducting a free training session for all interested volunteers in First Response Whale Rescue.
Discover how to rescue whales, babysit seals, help an oiled seabird and much more. Training is aimed at everyone – specialists, rangers, volunteers and college-aged students who want to make a difference at a whale stranding or other marine wildlife incident. All participants will be eligible to join Tasmania’s Wildcare First Response Teams – whale rescue or marine wildlife incidents (Southern Region). Check out the Wildcare calendar to register your interest in this exciting event.
