Northwest Bay River Working Bee
A great working bee where we worked with three PWS staff to create a short section of track so that walkers didn’t have to use the river for access, which can be somewhat dangerous when there is a lot of water in the river or when the rocks are wet and slippery such as from rain.
Two trees lying on the ground had to be sawn through and several smaller ones cut off at the base. Benching was also done to make easy travel. Other early sections of the track were also repaired.
Downstream an Erica site was inspected and a few plants found, including 4-5 larger than expected.
